On October 23, in 1976, next to Bwone Park in Flushing Queens, another shooting occurred. Carl Denaro and Rosemary Keenan were sitting parked in a car when someone with a 44.Caliber Pistol shot out the back of the car's window. Keenan started the car and drove away as quickly as she could. Carl Denaro was shot in the head and Keenan only suffered injuries from broken glass. Both survived the attack and neither saw the shooter.
